I was all good with your article until I got to:
Ronchetti’s plan seems a little like blackmail. We only get the money if the gas and oil companies are thriving. Any attempts to curtail drilling in response to climate change would mean less free money from the state.
What Ronchetti is proposing is “business 101”. We, the people, are the shareholders and if we “invest” (support and buy) in the petroleum and oil industry, we get some of the profits the state is receiving. If we dont “invest”, we dont get anything. This is better than having “tax payer” (free money) funds doled out like candy by politicos trying to “buy” votes….
