FAILING EDUCATION SYSTEM

There have been tremendous learning losses due to the Governor Lujan Grisham’s lengthy school closures and mask mandates in NM. Teachers have also reported that NM kids are running behind developmentally, behaviorally, and socially, with high schoolers behaving like middle schoolers.

INCREASING CRIME

The Governor has failed NM by allowing catch-and-release policies which are allowing criminals to be quickly released onto the streets where they can commit further crimes. The Governor has also enacted measures that make it easier for police to be sued, resulting in police officers being hesitant in dangerous interactions such that they are suffering higher rates of injury. Law enforcement officers in NM are demoralized and we have very low numbers of people applying to join the force. For instance, the number of applicants for the NM State Police are down by roughly 75%.

INDOCTRINATION AT SCHOOLS
Governor Lujan Grisham is pushing gender change options, cultural and racial division, and political ideology in our schools. Her administration is directly funding the trans agenda being pushed into NM schools. The Governor’s administration is also implementing new social studies standards, school equity councils, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL, which includes elements of Critical Race Theory and socialism). VACCINATION MANDATES AND EMERGENCY POWERS
Month after month after month, Governor Lujan Grisham has renewed the state of emergency in New Mexico. Our state is still in a state of emergency and the Governor is continuing to abuse her emergency powers. And, Governor Lujan Grisham is still mandating COVID-19 vaccination for state employees and healthcare workers.

Although I voted Libertarian in the last two Presidential elections (in the hopes that someday my children will be freed from our broken two-party system), the stakes are too high in NM right now to throw away my vote on a Libertarian candidate. Under Ronchetti, we will have a fighting chance to turn this state around.
