- SB 65 Termination of States of Emergency would require the governor to consult with the legislature after an emergency order is issued. Will be heard today, 2/6/23, Senate Judiciary after the floor.
- SB 171 Prohibit Automatic Firearm Sales This afternoon after 1:30 pm in Health and Public Affairs Committee
Tomorrow, February 7, 20239:00 AM SB 165 Local Choice Energy Act in the Senate Conservation Committee
After the floor session (in the afternoon) there are four gun bills in House Consumer Affairs Committee.
- HB 50 Possession of Large Capacity Gun Magazine would prohibit the possession of a gun magazine holding 9 or more bullets.
- HB 100 14-Day Waiting Period for Firearm Sales would institute a 14-day waiting period for firearms purchase.
- HB 101 Large Capacity Magazines and Assault Weapons would ban firearms with magazines holding 10 or more bullets as well as semi-automatic rifles and more.
- HB 164 Permitless Carry of Firearms would add NM to the list of permitless firearm carry states.
