Gender Information from LCPS from IPRA, 10 Oct 2022

Good morning Juan and Dan:  I am forwarding this email, which is the IPRA response from Las Cruces Public Schools on Request #2022-00033, w/attachments. The original request was:  “Please provide the ‘Gender Support Plan’ for Centennial High School.  The exact title of the plan I am requesting may not be correct, but to clarify:  I am requesting the plan which specifies a student’s requested name changes, pronoun changes, and/or bathroom, while at school.”

The email below includes the “Preferred Name Change Form” used at Centennial High School.  My quick take on all this , is that I believe that Parents are not notified in some cases, but we need to study further. Rick Reynaud
