It has come to my attention that the DoñaAnaCounty Commission is considering removing the Invocation as part of the agenda. I am asking that you reconsider this action. As an elected official, I believe you should represent all of the residents of Doña Ana County, many of whom consider prayer an integral part of the community at large. The invocation is a time to recognize that there are powers beyond our control. It shows a reverence for the beliefs of others. In fact, it shows respect to those who founded our county.I am asking that you retain the invocation out of respect.
