ChairmanAnnmarie Donovan, SecretaryRE: “Official County Caucus Call”DATE: January 7, 2022“OFFICIAL CAUCUS CALL”Call is hereby made for Ward Caucuses of the Republican Party of Dona Ana County to be held January 7, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the Mesilla Valley Christian School, 3850 Stern Dr, Las Cruces, NM 88001 to:Elect Ward Delegates to the Biennial County ConventionUSR 4-2-1. A.Biennial Caucuses to Elect Officers and Delegates: In odd-numbered years during the dates specified by the state chairman, the elected officers of each county central committee shall call caucuses for each ward in a ward-based county or for each precinct in a precinct-based county for the purposes of electing new officers and for electing delegates to the Biennial Organizational County Convention.The Ward/Precinct Caucuses are held to allow grass roots participation in the process. For this reason, there are no proxies allowed at the Ward/Precinct Caucuses. Also, there are no automatic berths to the County Convention by virtue of holding an office. Anyone who wants to be a delegate must run as a delegate.USR 4-2-1.E.Ward Caucuses – Order of Business: The elected officers of each County Central Committee shall prescribe such rules for the Conduct of Ward Caucuses as they may deem proper, in addition to the following minimum:Order of Business for a Ward/Precinct Caucus:Call to order by the Ward Chairman or appointed chair;Reading of the Official Call [as issued by the county elected officers];Nomination and election of new ward officers, when required by the caucus call, conducted by the caucus officers;Nomination and election of delegates to a county convention conducted by the caucus officersAny other proper business.USR 4-3-1.F.Ward/Precinct Caucuses – Proxies: No proxies shall be recognized or exercised at any Ward/Precinct Caucus.USR 4-3-1.G.Ward/Precinct Caucuses – Adjournment to Another Time, Date, and/or Public Place: A Ward/Precinct Caucus shall be held at the time, date, and public place designated in the Official County Caucus Call, and shall not be adjourned to another time, date and/or public place.NOTE EACH WARD MUST:Retain all voting materials, ballots, sign-in sheets, etc. and deliver to County Chairman.TO: RPDAC CCC MembersFROM: Kimberly Skaggs, ChairmanAnnmarie Donovan, SecretaryRE: “Official CCC and Biennial Convention Call”DATE: January 14, 2022“OFFICIAL CCC AND BIENNIAL CONVENTION CALL”“Call” is hereby made for the County Central Committee Meeting of the Republican Party of Dona Ana County to be held January 14, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Rd, Las Cruces, NM 88011to:Consider contests to the delegates from the Ward Caucuses to the Biennial CountyCentral Committee and ConventionAffirm voting delegates from the Ward CaucusesAffirm 2023-2024 County Central Committee members from the Ward Caucuses, andAdjournAnd“Call” is hereby made for the Biennial County Convention of the Republican Party of Dona Ana County to be held January 14, 2023 immediately following adjournment of the CCC meeting at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Rd, Las Cruces, NM 88011 to:Recess for a meeting of the new County Central Committee to elect new county officers;Affirm a new county contingent of members to the State Central Committee; and,Any other proper business.Any contests to the delegates nominated from the Wards must be presented to the County Secretary not less than one hour prior to the published start time of the County Central Committee Meeting.Special Rules in effect for this CCC meeting and Convention are:All self-nominations were received no later than December 30, 2022 at 5:00pm and new nominations will not be accepted from the floor.Exception / No Floor Nominations: In the case of a failure by the self-nominating process to obtain the allocated number of open elected positions, nominations shall be accepted from the floor only for those offices or positions without self-nominees.No person shall be permitted to hold and/or exercise more than five (5) proxies of members of the County Central Committee.All paid registrations (in person and proxy) must be completed by 5pm Jan 11, 2022.
