This channel also includes videos from the recent meeting where the council voted to allow marijuana to be sold right next door to New America School, as well as testimony from people living near Desert Hope homeless housing project.



The City Council is currently considering whether to allow marijuana to be smoked outdoors. They are taking public input on this issue, and the comments at the City’s public meeting about this issue were dominated by people in the cannabis industry. The City Council needs to hear your voice on this issue.

You may be interested to read this article about the negative health effects of second-hand marijuana smoke, including increased risks for cancer and heart problems, as well as psychological effects including increased anxiety. It is also of note that studies have found that children exposed to marijuana smoke in the home will actually have THC in their urine, potentially leading to long-term developmental problems ???:
