City government never ceases to amaze me. Must be the cannabis smoke filled back rooms they decide this stuff in. The Fact is that it is just impossible to argue with stupidity.
Two Points for the Homeless and Zero for the Home Team.
Classic. The proposed shopping cart ordinance puts all the financial responsibility onto the businesses with no reimbursement from the ones that actually steal the carts who when caught bear no financial responsibility. This means that due to an acceptable homeless population the consumers will be paying, due to escalated pricing by said business, to offset their now added City mandated liability due to no fault of their own beyond making the city aware of the blight that has been allowed to engulf us.
The problem is not the carts, it’s the people pushing them. Another added cost to our business community that is already struggling under taxation and regulations. One more reason for them to leave or just not set up shop in the first place. Along with the plastic bag ordinance we will have to bring our own cart.
It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant government people are as to what it takes to set up and establish a business so it provides the owner with a livable income.
