Chatbots

Chatbots
Some of us have been playing around with ChatGPT or one of the other chatbots like Bing. It is important to note that this chatbot is not connected to the internet but relies on a massive data base using Large Language Model on specific, for this service, computer servers. Think of having the capability to have a conversation on a multitude of subjects even if apparently unrelated with someone that has read everything in the NY City Library. When asking questions making them as detailed as possible helps just like in human conversations. You can also ask it to have a discussion with you on a subject that may be preferential to ones own bias. No different than the library. As should be, I feel tech like this stimulates one to ask deeper questions and follow where it takes them.
Try “What would a post Capitalist society look like” or ask it to discuss it with you. We are failing to adequately argue topics because we lack a deeper understanding of them. This is the future.

Note that one gets a better service if they use ChatGPT + which costs $20 a month versus the free access to ChatGPT. I do not know about Bing.

The limitations are answered by a question I asked:Write a description of the offering of the group Coalition of Conservatives in Action

I’m sorry, but I don’t have any information on the Coalition of Conservatives in Action after my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021. It’s important to note that my responses are based on the information available in my training, and I may not have access to up-to-date information on current events or organizations.
