Recent Trans Issues in NM Schools

Dear New Mexicans,

Through our advocacy for NM teachers and parents, we are continuing to learn more about what is happening regarding gender and transgender in NM schools.

Here is another update about the following, in case this is of interest to you:

  • Undercover video of trans training class for Albuquerque teachers
  • Transgender policies being used in Albuquerque Public Schools
  • Trans presentations and emails being given to students without parental notification in Santa Fe
  • Potential actions to take

As always, our focus is on what is best for the children, now and in the long term in their lives.

SIDE NOTE: The prevalence of these issues in NM schools is one reason some parents are now considering  home schooling, hybrid schooling, and school coops. If you would like to find out more about the New Mexico Freedoms Alliance Home School Support Group, please email Melanie at [email protected].

Undercover Trans Training Video

This optional training class was given to teachers in Albuquerque, and teachers were payed $50 to attend.

THANK YOU to Freedom Families United (https://freedomfamiliesunited.com/) for sharing this undercover video so that more people can become aware of what is happening in NM schools.

Transgender Policies in APS

Teachers in Albuquerque public schools are continuing to receive guidance on how to handle transgender issues.

Some of the trans guidance recently given by an EOC rep at an Albq school is as follows:

NOTE: There is already legal precedent showing that teachers cannot be forced to use preferred pronouns. APS is going against this legal precedent.  Here is an article about the legal ruling:

Santa Fe School Giving Trans Presentations and Information to Students Without Parental Notification

Recently, students at Santa Fe School for the Arts were given a presentation on how to be a “Trans Ally,” which also encouraged students to get involved in trans activism and asked students to make donations to a gender closet for the school. The slides from the presentation were also sent out to all students.  There was NO parental notification about the presentation or email which were given to the students.

For reference, here are several of the slides from the Trans Ally presentation.  You can view the full presentation here:

Potential Actions to Take

Todd Reed (former APS teacher who has been helping people stand up for their rights RE: mandates) is willing to help teachers and parents who want to get involved in pushing back against the trans ideology being pushed in NM schools. Todd has shared important information including:

  • Gender dysphoria is a mental illness, and as such, teachers are not licensed to be diagnose or treat students for this mental illness.
  • Parents should have the right of informed consent before any treatment is given to their children.

Recommended reading for learning more about this topic includes the following:

  • Book: Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters by Abigail Shrier
  • Article: The Torment and Tragedy of Teenage Girls – Conversation Between Heather Heying (evolutionary biologist) and Abigail Shrier (author of Irreversible Damage)

If you want to use legal remedies (such as affidavits) to push against the trans ideology being pushed in NM schools, you can contact Todd at [email protected].

I hope this information helps you better understand what is happening in NM schools in relation to Transgender issues.

Standing with you in solidarity,

Sarah
