Yes, petitions can be filed with my office. You can do just a regular petition with the subject at the top and then obtain signatures. I then send a copy of that petition to management and the respective department. If you would like to see an example of a petition, I have several in my office that you can look at.

Does the city allow and is it responsive to citizen petitions ? As an example- if citizens arent happy with a local ordinance (example-banning plastic bags, etc..) ..and they want to repeal it, can they raise XX signatures and present to you or the council or mayor for action ?
This question came up from our group recently and I dont have an answer but am sure you do…..
