- Call to Action: NMDOH Paying Hairstylists to Convince People to Get Vaccinated
Dear New Mexicans,Despite evidence that COVID-19 mRNA vaccines and flu vaccines are harmful and ineffective, the NM Department of Health (DOH) is using taxpayer dollars (via the CDC) to manipulate people through their hair stylists to attempt to increase vaccine uptake. CHAIR CARE PROGRAM The NM DOH has funded a grant for the Chair Care program, wherein hairdressers will be paid to convince clients to get vaccinated for flu and COVID-19. Hairdressers will be trained in “motivational interviewing” techniques by Serna Solutions, in partnership with Presbyterian Community Health. The hairdressers will then use their new skills to “encourage behavioral changes that promote better health outcomes, with a primary focus on addressing vaccine hesitancy.”Hairdressers will be paid a stipend of $4,000 to participate in this program, and they are to focus on increasing vaccination in “Latinx/Hispanic, Black/African American, Native/Tribal and politically conservative populations.” PLEASE EMAIL NOW AGAINST THE CHAIR CARE PROGRAM
Here is a quick-and-easy form to email the NM DOH, Serna Solutions, Presbyterian Community Health, and the UNM Prevention Research Center against the Chair Care Program 👇👇👇:
