Hello Commissioners.
After a commissioner raised a question at your July 26 meeting about the role of the County Commission regarding elections, I note that Doña Ana County’s board of commissioners, acting as the county canvassing board, certifies results. This presumably would require some understanding of what actually happened in the election.
I am attaching information to support the 2-minute statement I made at your public meeting on July 12.
Attached are:
- My 2-minute statement from your July 12 meeting, for your convenience.
- My letter to the State Auditor.
- My email to the County Clerk.
I copied the Secretary of State and County Clerk on my letter to the State Auditor. The State Auditor responded, expressing interest, but did not take any significant action. The County Clerk did not even respond to the issues raised in my email. Maybe she would respond to you.
I hope you can find time to read this information to enhance your awareness of the election-administration problems. It should not take long.
I was a challenger for both the presidential primary and presidential general elections for the absentee voter board at the warehouse. My correspondence with the State Auditor and County Clerk was based on the primary. I found the situation only got worse for the general election. I won’t complicate this email by going into the multiple assorted irregularities I observed during the general election.
